temporarily or permanently.

Generally, there are two types of feeding tubes:
Gastreonomy tube, or G-tube: intended as a long-term remedy involves surgery,
is inserted through the abdominal wall into the individual’s stomach allowing
for oral feeding uninterrupted with supplementing nutrients.
Nasogastric tube, or NG tube: is generally placed through the nose to deliver
food to the individual’s stomach.
