Breathing Difficulties for Individuals with ALS
ALS, or amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, refers to a progressive neurologic disease which can cause severe breathing difficulties.
According to the related clinical observations, for different people, the symptoms related to breathing difficulties they experience caused by ALS can vary tremendously.
Symptoms to consider:

  • Difficulty in lying flat
  • Fatigue
  • Air hunger with or without activities
  • Waking up in the morning with fuzzy headed feeling or a headache
  • Frequent insomnia
  • Frequent sighing or yawning during the day

ALS can’t be cured throughout the world currently, but the stem cell transplantation can significantly curb the symptoms and associated complications to improve the condition.
