ALS, or amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, refers to a progressive neurologic disease which can cause severe breathing difficulties.

Symptoms to consider:
- Difficulty in lying flat
- Fatigue
- Air hunger with or without activities
- Waking up in the morning with fuzzy headed feeling or a headache
