Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, or ALS, refers to a progressive neurological disease which generally occurs among the alders with more men than women.
ALS can severely affect an individual’s daily life, causing huge difficulties and challenges. However, ALS definitely does not affect everything, then, what is not affected by ALS?
Sensory parts of the nervous system are not affected
Sexual desire and emotional feelings
Intellect generally does not change
Bladder and bowel functions generally remain normal
